The crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate, causing the engine to lose its ability to synchronize the fuel injector pulses and cam shaft timing, possibly resulting in an engine stall.
A high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure may introduce internal debris into the fuel system, potentially resulting in fuel starvation.
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold.
The crankshaft position sensor tone wheel may delaminate causing the engine to lose its ability to synchronize the fuel injector pulses and cam shaft timing, possibly resulting in an engine stall.
The supercharger mounting bracket may contact and damage the ABS line, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak.
The affected vehicles, equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a monostable gear selector, may not adequately warn the driver when driver's door is opened and the vehicle is not in PARK, allowing them to exit the vehicle while the vehicle is still in gear.

“My vehicle is a subject of recall 22V-406 (FCA recall number Z46 [XXX] ), and the repair work for that recall was completed on April 26 of 2024. On April 23, 2026, the vehicle failed in the exact way described in the recall: loss of power, particulate in the fuel lines, failed high-pressure fuel pump. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)”

“The fuel pump recall can cause a major problem if on a highway or interstate (engine can quit suddenly and without warning, according to the recall notice). This recall has been act for nearly a year with no resolution in sight (NHTSA recall number 22V-406, manufacturer recall number Z46).”

“While on freeway at 50 mph. My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 3.0 diesel ,. loss motive power. I was very fortunate to not crash the vehicle, but the situation was horrifying! I received the recall notice for the HPFP ( High pressure Fuel Pump) , Z46/ NHTSA 22V- 406 but Crystler Corp doesn't have the part available to fix. Iam currently have a loan on my vehicle and can't drive it!”
