What this problem usually is
Screen complaints read like a list of small betrayals. The display goes black or freezes, the backup camera shows nothing when you shift into reverse, CarPlay or Android Auto keeps dropping, or the radio changes volume on its own. An electrical short in the power liftgate module may lead to a vehicle fire with the ignition on or off.
These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging.
In the affected vehicles, water may leak into the Power Liftgate Control Module and result in a high resistance short circuit.
The affected vehicles are equipped with radios that have software vulnerabilities that can allow third-party access to certain networked vehicle control systems.

“After a Jeep Dealership performed a recall, the Service Shifter indicator came on. The indicator blocks important information on the dash screen such as speed and other vehicle info. There was no issue or light that appeared prior to the dealer getting their hands on to the car.”
