“There has been multiple issues with the PTUs on these jeeps. Mine does not fall under the recall if there was one. Iâm battling with the place I bought the jeep from for warranty and they are not covering it. Iâve talked to hundreds of people about it and they said this jeep should have been recalled for this PTU issue but itâs not. Not sure what to do or where to go from here.”

“Transmission has been a problem since purchase. Numerous repairs done without success and finally they replaced the entire transmission. Still had problems. Car has only 93,000 miles on it and now the Power transfer Unit is failing. I understand that it was replaced when they put in the new transmission. Noticed a large number of complaints about PTU on line. Why hasnât this been recalled? It was in Canada.”

“SVC 4WD service light came on 02/04/2023 at 51000 miles 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. Took it into Jeep dealer to check it out and was reported that the PTU was bad and needs to be replaced. Warranty not valid due to more than 5 years.”

“The part on my car that is at fault is recalled and has a service bulletin open for many of the vehicles made within the same few years. Mine missed the cut off by a month but has the exact same issue with the PTU being faulty. Has the svc 4wd light on. Had it inspected by mechanic and is the same issue as others that are covered.”
