What this problem usually is
These reports start with the check engine light. Many describe the engine running rough or shaking at idle, a P0300-series code, or a catalytic converter code. A worrying number say the light was flashing. Owners often list ignition coils or spark plugs already replaced, and the light coming back afterward.

“The head gaskets were replaced at 107 miles before I purchased my van. Now here I am 20k miles later with another blown head. The vehicle is undrivable and left me, my wife and my kids stranded. Yes this has been confirmed by a qualified shop. No. Check engine light, misfire.”

“My 2017 Pacifica just passed 96,000 miles and started acting weird. We sent it into the mechanic and they said there is a blown head gasket on cylinder 1. The repair will be between $4,500 and $5,000. Under normal conditions, a head gasket should not be blown on a regularly maintained vehicle with less than 100,000 miles.”

“First showed up as a misfire in cylinder #3 check engine light. Found out it was coolant leaking in to combustion chamber due to warped head/head gasket leak on rear side of the engine (cylinders 1,3,5). We have 85K miles on it and had to pay $5400 to repair and ~$1000 in rental car fees while in the shop for two weeks.”
