Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019, 2021-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. Due to a software malfunction, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module may disable the electronic stability control system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems."
Risk and remedy
Remedy: Dealers will update the ABS control module software, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed October 10, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning September 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 85B.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with adjustable pedals. The affected vehicles have a brake pedal that may move too far and separate from pedal assembly.
Risk and remedy
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will repair the adjustable pedal assembly, free of charge. The recall began on February 25, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V07.

“I was driving with my family when I lost power steering and every warning light on my dash lit up. The truck then started lunging. The dealership came and picked up the truck. They told me the power steering control module on the rack and pinion failed sending a signal to the computer that everything failed at once, steering, shifting, traction control, temp gage, abs.... everything”

“My ABS Brake Module failed with no warning until after failure. All dash warning lights illuminated after failure rear brakes locked up and would not release causing me to be stranded and requiring a tow service. Dealership confirmed failed ABS module and is currently being repaired but not covered by manufacturer resulting in out of pocket cost to myself. Truck has 57,408 miles on it.”
