What this problem usually is
These reports start with the check engine light. Many describe the engine running rough or shaking at idle, a P0300-series code, or a catalytic converter code. “Fuel sensor failure. Began around 60,000 miles. Unless tank is full tank will display as empty. This also causes the check engine light to be on. Causes me to never know how much fuel is in the tank. I have nearly run out of fuel several times. This is a known issues across Dodge RAM forums for this era of RAM. It is not safe to operate at speed and run out of fuel unexpectedly.”

“Check engine light came on and then turning a corner my power steering turned off. Cause me to run off the road and almost crashed. It yanked me straight off the road. Put a code reader on it and C2200-49 was popping up.”

“With less than 50,000 miles on the vehicle, the fuel sensor went out and the check engine light came on. I replaced the fuel sensor and the fuel pump and it still did not correct the issue. After doing some research, I found this is known and common issue that is deserving of a recall.”

“Our truck kept coming up with check engine, ABS and traction control lights. Come to find out, it is the ABS Module Control that needs to be replaced. In doing research, I have found that there have been numerous complaints on this same issue for years. At what point does it become neglect on Dodge? There have been accidents yet they're continuing to ignore this situation and it's allowed???”
