What this problem usually is
Screen complaints read like a list of small betrayals. The display goes black or freezes, the backup camera shows nothing when you shift into reverse, CarPlay or Android Auto keeps dropping, or the radio changes volume on its own. This PI is created to inform GM dealers that some vehicles may intermittently fail to connect wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto after Bluetooth pairing during the first key cycle. The condition is caused by a software anomaly.
A dealer may encounter multiple DTCs when a B65 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Intake Air Temperature Sensor fails. Diagnostics may be misleading but if the Fuel Rail Temperature has the 419 degrees displayed this PI will assist with repairs.
• Improvements to driver display information for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) range including drivable range in miles, low DEF warnings, and maximum speed warnings. • Improvements to start reliability and reduced check engine light activation.
This Preliminary information communicates that you may notice a black screen on their radio display. This can happen for a period of a couple seconds or the entire ignition cycle. Engineering is aware of the issue and investigating.

“Component: Faulty coolant control valve causing reduced acceleration and check engine light to come on. Fan is constantly on when reduced acceleration is displayed. Safety: can overheat, reduced acceleration can cause an accident. Problem reproduced: Dealer did check and confirm codes and errors. Dealer confirmed item failed. Coolant control valve needs to be replaced.”
