What this problem usually is

“The 6.2L V8 motor is known to have faulty internals. I was driving down the highway and the motor shut off. The vehicle needs a new motor now. GM has offered an oil viscosity change to 0w-40. That was done 20k miles ago. This vehicle now needs a new motor”

“GM replaced engine after a complete failure associated with a defective engine recall. The remanufactured or new engine installed seems to have a similar defect as the original engine. Returned vehicle for service and was told GM refused to repair or replace the engine until the vehicle suffered another complete engine failure. Regardless of any safety concerns of an another complete engine failure.”

“New police vehicle on the road for only two months with only 6030 miles on it. Check engine light came on vehicle lost all power, no reverse, transmission would not shift. Warning came up about decreased acceleration. Managed to get vehicle to dealer, computer scanning stated that transmission valve body failed.”
