What this problem usually is

Brake reports cover a wide spread of symptoms. Grinding or squealing is common, and so is a pulsing pedal or a shake through the car when stopping. Others describe pads and rotors worn out long before they expected, a brake warning light, or a pedal that goes soft or sinks toward the floor. The most serious ones say the car didn't stop in time.

“The trailer brake module causes trailer braking and lights to work inconsistently. There is an existing recall but I am 3 months in with no status of when they can fix my issue. I am on a waiting list with 2 nearby dealers and cannot safely use my truck for towing which is what I bought it for.”

“Driving while pulling a trailer using the towing package included on u-connect. When applying pressure to the brake pedal the trailer brakes locked up and the driver had trouble maintaing control of the truck. The turn signal and brake lights on the trailer do not work while hooked up the wiring harness.”

“I was driving at around 40mph, my vehicle turned off with all the lights in the dashboard being turned on. I had no power steering or breaks in my vehicle. With no ability to break my moving car I pulled into a parking lot almost crashing with another vehicle. I couldnât turn out my car in parking and the lights in the dashboard stayed on.”
