“I was in the service lane waiting for an oil change for my 2022 RAM 1500. My car was in parking mode. A service tech plugged a "pod" or "OBD2" and asked me to drive the car with the pod plugged. As soon as I tried to pull out my lane the car acceleraterated even though I was not pressing on the gas pedal. I tried to hit the brake but car would not stop for few seconds until I hit the parked car in front of me.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 8 of 69 reports involved a crash and 6 people were hurt. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.

File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
