What owners wrote
“The engine lost power, ran rough and smoked really bad while driving in trafic causing me to pull over on a busy highway. The vehicle was diagnosed with a coolant leak into cylinder 3 which is a known problem with the Ecoboost 2.0 engines from 2015 to 2018. The vehicle only has 66,800 miles. Ford has a TSB that suggests replacing the engine if it has that problem but refuses to pay for it.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 2 of 279 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
