On April 30, 2015, Ford expanded the recall to cover an additional 119,567 vehicles, including certain model year 2011 Ford Fiestas manufactured from November 11, 2009, to May 31, 2013 and certain model year 2013 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured from February 1, 2012, to June 30, 2012.

Under Safety Recall 20S15, in some of the affected vehicles, the door latches have a pawl spring tab that may break. This condition will typically prevent the door from latching.

“I Had my car at Southgate Ford from 0ct 17- 20. During this time my car was to be serviced for the recalls. However upon receiving my car back. I was told the recall that is showing incomplete( door latches) was unable to be repaired due to the car only being registered in MI and PA. At this time it is showing my vin is still showing said recalls as incomplete.”

“Trunk continues to unlatch and open on its own. It pops open when driving or parked and if vehicle is in motion causing things to fly out of trunk and hit other cars. I have had professionals look at it and it still doesnât work. The trunk open indicator on the dash always clicks, lights up, and says trunk ajar.”

“Trunk opens while vehicle is in motion. Warning light will alert me the trunk is open but it has happened twice over the last week. My knee cannot reach the trunk open button and the key is a fob with a flip out key, so there is no way to have accidently hit the button on the fob while in motion. Nothing in the trunk is high enough to accidently pull the emergency latch.”
