What owners wrote
“My truck is only 5 years with 54,500 miles and the engine light came on. Code 302 came up. I spent 400 to change the spark plugs and the ignition coil #2. Light went off and came back on. Next the dealership said the Coolant is leaking into the cylinders and I would need a new engine. $10,000. Contact Ford because we can't help you. My warranty just ended 45 days ago. Now What!”

“After taking my vehicle to the shop, it was discovered that engine coolant is leaking into cylinder 3 causing a misfire. Was told that I will have to replace engine with 94,000 miles at a cost of $8500 of my own money. There is a TSB out there, but it is not covered by Ford. Extremely frustrating.”

“Engine encountered cold start misfire code 105.95, cylinder 1 misfire and misfire detected on startup, PO 301 and 316. Coolant leaking into cylinder, Ford TSB 19-2208 is to replace the Long Block Engine Assembly. Engine has 93511 miles and is not covered under warranty, will cost an exorbitant amount to replace. Ford should issue a recall due to the severity as this effects many different model engines.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 718 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
