What owners wrote
“Took the car for routine oil change and was informed the head gasket is failing, coolant and oil are mixed posing a safety hazard to drive the vehicle (that I make payments on still)”

“Headgasket issue, coolant leaking into engine. Therefore CEL on with missfire on cylinder 3. Had multiple repairs done before issue was found, current quote for head gasket repair is 3.700 USD. Ford issued a repair note but hasn't recalled this knows safety concern for this mark and model (earlier models with this issue have been recalled to mely knowledge).”

“The vehicle engine has a design flaw, the head gasket on all Ford eco-boost engines made in 2017 will inevitably break do to an unsecure seal to the top of the engine, this is because of the newly implemented cooling channels in between each cylinder, causing the inevitable failure of the engine”

“Head gasket is bad causing coolant leak into cylinder 2. Causing engine to overheat and not run properly. Ford Dealership told me engine needs to be replaced. The engine design is bad and the issue will just continue without a newly designed engine block (2019 or newer). They want me to pay $8,500 to replace their poorly designed engine. Car is at 136,000 miles. Most of which are highway miles.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 57 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
