Due to a poor electrical connection, the rearview camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image.
The fastener securing the Power Distribution Box (PDB) 12V cable and Battery Monitoring System (BMS) eyelets to the positive battery terminal may loosen and affect the vehicle's systems such as instrument panel displays and braking or steering assist.

Occurs when shifting into reverse and creates safety risk for pedestrians, children, cyclists and property. Similar F-150's are already under recall for this same issue, even 2019 F-150 models.”

“The rear camera goes blank when put in reverse. The screen shows "rear camera not available". There were multiple recalls for rear view camera system but my year and model is not included. A lot of same complaints on the web regarding the same issue.”

“My truck backup camera is not working. It goes black or distorted to where you canât see anything behind you. It identical to a recall on other 2019 Ford F150s. But my truck is not on that recall. If the problem is the exact same, shouldnât it be fixed through the recall as well?”

“After purchasing my truck, it was discovered that the back up camera doesn't work. It will work on occasion when the truck is put in reverse. The safety for myself or others is that I cannot see behind me when backing up. I have not taken the vehicle in for an inspection since I have been told that this is an issue for other Ford F150's in the same year. When backing up my screen says camera not available.”
