What owners wrote

“They have a faulty master cylinder on the brakes causing brake issues. I was driving down state road 80 after hurricane Ian and a car slammed on its brakes in front of me because a vehicle lost a load off of their tailgate. I slammed on my brakes but I didn't break very well. It was very squishy into the floor and I relied on distance. The brakes gave a little assistance”

Filed Sep 1, 2025

“Brakes went out in a school zone. Brake went straight to the floor. Could have killed a kid. I do have a 2014 model so it’s odd mine wasn’t part of the recall”

Filed Aug 20, 2022

“Brakes failed after I had driven and parked the truck. Brakes worked normal. Cranked up and went to drive away and brake warning light illuminates. Applied brakes and pedal goes to the floor. Opened hood, Master cylinder empty. It’s looks like the Brake Master cylinder suddenly failed. Luckily it happened when I was starting off.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 1 of 127 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.

File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation. How reports land on this sheet.
