What this problem usually is
Screen complaints read like a list of small betrayals. The display goes black or freezes, the backup camera shows nothing when you shift into reverse, CarPlay or Android Auto keeps dropping, or the radio changes volume on its own. Recalls and investigations

The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light.
The instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."
A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative.

“When driving down the road the vehicle completely shuts down, comes to a sudden stop and service charging system message displays on the dash with no prior warning. After turning the ignition off and restarting the vehicle starts running perfectly normal.”

“1. Water leak and windshield cracked because windshield seal broken. Windshield seal found to be broken or cracked by dealership. 2. Windshield cracked and water leaking into Forward Crash Collison Avoidance Radar housing and onto viewscreen which has quit working. 3. Cracked windshield causing visual impairment.”
