Screen freezing on other Pilot years
Report counts are for each model year on its own, so a newer car has had less time to collect them. Model years with too few reports of it for a sheet: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026.
What got replaced
Owners who name the part that was replaced mention the head unit or screen (35 reports).
Recalls and investigations
4 recalls on the electrical system cover the 2020 model year. A recall on the same system isn't always the same failure, so read the defect text.
Due to a faulty Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) communication coaxial cable connector, the rearview camera image may not appear on the display.
The heating pads behind both side-view mirrors may not be bonded properly, allowing the mirror glass to detach.
Incorrect instrument panel control module software can cause the instrument panel to not display critical information, such as engine oil pressure, speedometer, and gear selector position until the next ignition cycle.
Incorrect central network software programming may cause several errors to occur that can delay or prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.

Is this a known problem?
The manufacturer has sent NHTSA 1 service bulletin or notice for the 2020 Honda Pilot that deal with this problem. Newest first.
Federal rules make a manufacturer send NHTSA a copy of any notice about a defect that goes to more than one dealer or owner. Most of these are service bulletins, the repair instructions manufacturers send to dealers. NHTSA generally leaves safety recall bulletins out of this file, and recalls are listed separately.
Video Message - It concerns the MOST Bus Network Failure Log covered in service bulletin 19-097. The log helps troubleshoot intermittent MOST bus network failures.
What owners wrote
“While driving, we eill hear a popping noice coming from the dash speakers - almost sounds like fine grains if sand hitting windshield - at which time the media display, i.e. navigation /radio control display/etc. will turn black and briefly display "Network Connection Lost, MOST Net Off" message before the display goes completely black. This has only been noticed AFTER a recall service was performed.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 40 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation. How reports land on this sheet.
