What this problem usually is
Two different complaints land here. The more common one is an engine that uses oil: owners add a quart between changes, get a low-oil warning, or are told by the dealer that the rate is normal. The other is the opposite, where the oil level climbs and the oil smells of gasoline. Both deserve a proper test, and both are easier to argue with records in hand.

“After filling up the car with gas the cabin smells like gasoline for the first 25 miles then goes away. We are not topping off the gas and it is a strong noxus odor. The car was taken in once when it was new for this issue it went away temporarily but came back now that the car is out of warranty.”

“Car goes into limp mode because of misfiring in cylinders - fuel in oil and In cylinders. Paid to flush injection system and clean oil of fuel and in two weeks it went back to the same issue. There is a known fuel/oil mixture issue and this is that problem.”
