Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, and 2019-2020 Insight vehicles. A software error may cause intermittent or continuous disruptions in communication between the Body Control Module (BCM) and other components. What owners wrote
“Rear backup camera color distortion. Unable to see clearly to back up. I understand that there was a recall for defective cameras for some 2018 Accords but my Vin number isnât one of them. Donât know why. I only have 41000 miles on my 2018 Accord, and the backup camera is dead. Should have been recalled.”

“Backup camera not working. Get black screen with only the yellow lines to denote distance but no camera picture.”

“When driving and removing foot from the acceleration pedal, allowing my car to slow without hitting my brake, I have noticed a loud humming/vibration around the 40 mph speed. It is very dangerous because it distracts my driving. I have tried powering off radio and ac/heater, rolling windows down and opening sunroof. Nothing seems to stop the noise.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 5 of 109 reports involved a crash and 1 people were hurt. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
