The transmission is failing I was told by the Ford Dealer, Stevenâs Ford and that the transmission should be rebuilt and torque converters need to be repaired. The car has 37,000 miles only. I have an invoice from Stevenâs Ford for a diagnostic check up on the car but not repairs.”

“The vehicle has experienced transmission issues. I received a powertrain malfunction light in August, and the car suddenly had trouble shifting in low gears resulting in jerking. When driving, it continued to have issues. Then, it wouldn't go into reverse and the jerking increased before having it towed to get evaluated. There were no signs and it appears that MANY of these transmissions are reported to have issues.”

“Car buck and jerks, unexpected low speed and sometimes hi speed, never know what is going to happen when you hit the gas or brake. Ford wants to replace transmission. Car has 55,500 miles, this should be a known defect. Ford refuses to fix under any warranty, This is a very dangerous defect. I have seen many people complain with this same defect.”

“Transmission shifting is rough and jerky. Started at 65k miles, just out of warranty. Regular service has been performed every 30k miles. Numerous people have reported the same issue with no solution or fix from Ford.”
