What this problem usually is
Screen complaints read like a list of small betrayals. The display goes black or freezes, the backup camera shows nothing when you shift into reverse, CarPlay or Android Auto keeps dropping, or the radio changes volume on its own. “my rear back up camera going bad again I had it replace a few yrs ago and it is doing the same thing again, picture is upside down at times or the image is doing a horizontal rolling making it unusable or going blank and also is distracting when trying to back up and the image catches your eyes while backing up”

“My rear view camera started to flicker and the picture would sometimes be upside down. This happened for a while before it totally stopped working. Replaced the camera with an OEM part in 2021and it worked fine for about two years. Then same issue. Dodge says I need to replace the camera again.”

“Rear view camera intermittently displays a fuzzy or upside down screen that limits my ability to view what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Note, I received recall notice 22S06/NHTSA Recall 22V082 for anther vehicle with the same problem so I'm not sure why there wasn't a recall on the Dodge Journey.”
