This bulletin announces availability of new door window regulator assemblies and door glass run channel seals in response to limited concerns of erratic operation of the anti-entrapment feature and / or the door glass either not closing or closing very slowly.
This announcement is in regard to settlement in a class action lawsuit for vehicles that will receive a limited warranty extension for original equipment Subaru windshields experiencing a qualifying crack.

“Bought this new car this April. After using it in local for only one month with 1000 miles, windshield developed a 20 ~ 30 inch crack from the passenger side. Went to the dealer to argue. I told them no rock strike and the root reason is faulty glass. The dealer didn't provide any help and gave me a wrong phone number. In over 20 years of driving different cars, we haven't had windshield issue.”

“Vehicle has 10,800 miles and this is the third broken windshield. The smallest road debris results in failure of the Carlex factory equipped windshield. I have never replaced a windshield in 35 years of driving many vehicles, this 2022 Subaru Outback appears to break continually. It is a costly repair.”

“In first 5,000 miles two windshields have cracked. The first had NO obvious impact. The second was hit by a VERY SMALL pebble (<1/4â). Seems like Subaru hasnât resolved their windshield issues.”
