What this problem usually is
Airbag complaints split into a few kinds. The most common is an airbag warning light that won't go out. Others involve the passenger seat sensor switching the passenger bag off with an adult sitting there, an airbag that didn't deploy in a crash, or one that went off without a crash at all. A large share also come from owners waiting on a recall part.

The side air bag inflatable curtain (SABIC) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator, or the inflator sidewall may rupture.
Certain driving conditions, such as driving off-road or debris striking the vehicle may cause the roll rate sensor to trigger a fault within the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC).
The affected vehicles are equipped with side air bag inflatable curtains (SABIC) that may not fully overlap the C-pillars in the event of a vehicle crash.

“Had a medical issue and loss of consciousness while heading to work. Was wearing a seatbelt, cruise was set at 57. Vehicle left the road and hit a tree head on. Airbags did not deploy and driver sustained vision loss and development of thoracic fusiform aneurysm from the impact.”

“Failed to repair recall, recently received letter in mail stating recalled airbags are in stock and they failed to install them stating that they didn't have the parts and were unable to install them.”

“Received notice august 20, 2021 its been over six months and remedy not yet available. I drive with my wife and grand kids in vehicle. Letter states material being propelled into the vehicle may cause injury to vehicle occupants. Thank you for any help in this matter.”
