What this problem usually is
Start-stop complaints describe one moment: the engine shuts off at a light, as designed, and then doesn't come back when the driver lifts off the brake. Owners report sitting in traffic with a dead engine, having to shift to park and restart by hand, and dealers who find nothing wrong on the first visit. The powertrain control module may be equipped with a voltage regulator chip in the circuit board that may fail, causing a stall or a no start condition.

“The automatic start/stop feature says there's a problem. One time it started doing weird electrical things and completely shut off while driving. Had to turn it of and wait a minute then restart it. Things seem to be going haywire”

“The automatic start/stop feature shows a warning on the dashboard. The vehicle cut off completely at a stopping point 3 times on me. Itâs not suppose to cut off completely, when I took my foot off the break and or pressed the gas the vehicle did not move nor was it still running.”
