“My vehicle is under the L87 Recall from GM for engine failure. In September 2025 it was given the recall âfixâ, different thicker oil. But on July 1 2026, my engine seized while I was driving 60 mph on the highway. GM has since replaced the entire engine and the radiator. But the âfixâ obviously did not work.”

“Engine failure after passing PICO test. Engine completely locked up on a busy highway without the ability to even put it in neutral. Yes, confirmed by dealer that there were metal shavings in the fluid. Inspected by authorized dealer. No lights came on in the vehicle prior to the engine failure.”
