Brake wear on other F-150 years
Report counts are for each model year on its own, so a newer car has had less time to collect them. Model years with too few reports of it for a sheet: 2019, 2020, 2024, 2025, 2026.
What this problem usually is
Brake reports cover a wide spread of symptoms. Grinding or squealing is common, and so is a pulsing pedal or a shake through the car when stopping. Others describe pads and rotors worn out long before they expected, a brake warning light, or a pedal that goes soft or sinks toward the floor. The most serious ones say the car didn't stop in time.
What got replaced
Owners who name the part that was replaced mention the ABS module (6 reports).

What owners wrote
“I was driving and went to press the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. The truck would not stop right away and then the rear tires locked up. Light came on the dash ABS, service traction control and brake system failure, this was a similar issue with the 2021 and 2025 model having issues with the EBB/ECU that was on recall.”

“Recall 23S35 is not showing up for my vehicle even though I have the exact same issue. Dashboard alarm and message "PARK Brake Fault Service Now" and it activates my brakes. I took it to the dealership while it was still going on, even after I shut the truck off.”

“I was driving around 35-40mph, slowing down, heading to a right hand turn lane. No vehicles in front of me. As I crossed over my lane into the turn lane my e-brake automatically came on and my pre collision braking light came on. No warning, nothing caused by me, and I have no clue how it happened. I had to physically pull the e-brake lever to release the brakes on a major road.”

“Three warnings light up: Antilock Brake Fault, Hill Start Assist Warning, and Pre-Collision Assist Not Available. Brakes failed. I was fortunate that no one was in front of me but the truck barely stopped. Took full pedal to the floor to force lockup. I am filing the matter as it does appear to be a frequently occurring concern in 2021 and 2022 models based on what I have read to date.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 8 of 30 reports involved a crash and 4 people were hurt. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
