“The back up camera turns black when the car is in reverse. Other times the screen has red, yellow, green horizontal stripes displayed which make the screen hard to see any objects behind me. This is the same problem ford has experienced with other explorer models and there is an activr recall for those models. My car is a 2014 model and is experiencing the same problems.”

“The backup camera does not work. Sometimes a reversed the image which is highly dangerous. This has happened to a number of people I know who have the same car. It says see dealership on the screen.”

“Back up camera failing to load image. Image is reversed when backing up, so objects coming from the left are showing up on the right side of the screen and vise versa. Backup guiding lines are no longer visible and screen has a fish bowl effect.”

“My rearview camera goes in and out sometimes it works sometimes it doesnât. Have to use my side view to back up . This is definitely dangerous. Donât know what is wrong with it, it will beep when you get to close but no picture.”
