What this problem usually is

“While driving the truck, something electrical seems to "reset" and upon that occurring, the brakes and other things quit working. This has happened in this truck twice within the last 10,000 miles. The dealership "resets the electrical system" and the truck runs fine for a period of time, but it has happened twice that the brakes have failed while going down the road.”

“Trailer brakes disable with any trailer being plugged into. GM has a service bulletin but no fix. It is not a plug issue either. I have tried 7 different trailers on my truck.”
