What this problem usually is
Airbag complaints split into a few kinds. The most common is an airbag warning light that won't go out. Others involve the passenger seat sensor switching the passenger bag off with an adult sitting there, an airbag that didn't deploy in a crash, or one that went off without a crash at all. A large share also come from owners waiting on a recall part.

Accordingly, the Automatic Occupant Sensing (AOS) system may fail to suppress the front passenger air bag if a child seat is in the front passenger seat.
The affected vehicles may have left the factory with the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) set to "manufacturing mode."

“My dashboard reads, service air bag. Everytime I turn it on as of this morning. 6/23/21 @ 1pm central time. I've read about the recall on these models as well of air bags deploying and throwing pieces of metal at drivers. Cause of molded air bag housing.”
