The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when the park function is manually activated.
Due to a software issue, affected vehicles may experience center displays and instrument panel displays that do not boot, or that sporadically reset. This can result in loss of speedometer information or loss of rearview camera image.
The 12-Volt battery charging cable may contact the steering column shaft and cause the cable insulation to wear, possibly resulting in a short circuit.
The electric motor sealing ring was improperly assembled, which may allow coolant to leak into the high-voltage system and interfere with the CAN communication and power supply.

“As I was driving, the infotainment screen went black and Apple CarPlay stopped playing. As this happened, the driverâs information screen still worked but changed to grey scale colors. After about 4 minutes of the infotainment screen being black, the driverâs info screen also went black. This continued for about one more minute when both screens rebooted on their own.”

“When driving the vehicle the center display and dashboard display go black and do not reboot and because of this am not able to see any vehicle information like speed and back up camera making the vehicle unsafe to drive and are a greater risk of causing an accident. This is an active recall but car manufacturer has failed to resolve issue in a timely manner. This issue was first reported in May 2024.”
