“2107 Santa fe ultimate engine went to limp mode. I have 92k miles. The Vin shows no recalls. The warranty says 1st buyer. I am 2nd buyer, bought at 33k miles. I need help!!! There is no reason other than defect that my engine should have gone out! I've read plenty of things. Excessive oil consumption, rod bearing wear, crankshaft... I need Hyundai to replace my engine.”

“Since this vehicle reached about 75,000 miles, it has been burning oil like crazy. We have to add a quart every 7-10 days. It drives fine, thereâs no oil leaks, no smoke from the tailpipe. We took the car to Hyundai and they did their oil consumption tests. They came to the conclusion that this was within the normal range and would do nothing for us. This needs to be fixed, Hyundai!”

“Over the past 50,000 miles we have put on the car we have had major oil leaks and now the engine is burning oil. The engine has stalled multiple times and now sounds like a diesel. We have spent over $3000 in repairs and still will have to replace our car as it continues to worsen. Metal shavings have been found in the oil. No remedies have been found, aside from replacing the engine.”
