Fuel pump on other F-150 years

No other F-150 model year has enough reports of fuel pump for a sheet of its own. See every F-150 year.

What this problem usually is

A lot of fuel pump complaints are tied to a recall. Owners describe a car that stalled or wouldn't start, sometimes at highway speed, and many mention that a recall covers it and the part isn't available yet. Others paid for the pump themselves before a recall existed, or on a car the recall didn't include.

What got replaced

Is this a known problem?

The manufacturer has sent NHTSA 1 service bulletin or notice for the 2021 Ford F-150 that deal with this problem. Newest first.

Federal rules make a manufacturer send NHTSA a copy of any notice about a defect that goes to more than one dealer or owner. Most of these are service bulletins, the repair instructions manufacturers send to dealers. NHTSA generally leaves safety recall bulletins out of this file, and recalls are listed separately.

What owners wrote

“Fuel Pump Failed. Ford has stopped sale on the Fuel Pump because of recall 25S75. I need a fuel pump to operate my vehicle. Ford has offered no solution. It has been 10+ months since my fuel pump failed. Why is there no urgency? What am I supposed to do? Ford doesn't care, you at NHTSA don't care.”

“Recall has been issued on my fuel pump for one year now and there is still no remedy. I do not feel safe traveling far from home knowing this is still an issue.”

“Luther ford mobile technician came to my place and cleared my existing FUEL PUMP failure recall. I called their attention and insist they did not cleared my recall when I immediately notify them. I was told they are awaiting parts to be ordered but why did they removed/ clear my existing fuel pump failure notification.”

“I have been trying to get a recall situated with Ford now for almost a year. They say they have no fix. I am making payments on truck and can’t use it like I should be. Even came out of my own pocket and had ford install a new fuel pump however problem came back. Just not fair I purchased a vehicle from A reputable company and they will not help me at all. Not even a loaner.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 0 of 31 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.

File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation. How reports land on this sheet.
