What this problem usually is
Screen complaints read like a list of small betrayals. The display goes black or freezes, the backup camera shows nothing when you shift into reverse, CarPlay or Android Auto keeps dropping, or the radio changes volume on its own. “At approximately 100,000 miles our park assist camera began to distort, and over the course of several weeks it finally stopped working. This has not caused any issues so far, but could pose a minor safety risk until it's fixed, as reversing in a large SUV like our Expedition EL leaves much to be desired without a park assist camera.”

“Backup camera loses connection, does not show image, or is grossly distorted, flashes on screen. Cannot safely use backup camera when backing up. Problem Looks identical to the picture below which is from a recalled mustang.”
