ABS light on on other Traverse years
No other Traverse model year has enough reports of ABS light on for a sheet of its own. See every Traverse year.
What this problem usually is
This is the narrower sheet inside brake problems for the anti-lock brake (ABS) warning light. What separates it from the wider brake sheet is that most owners here aren't describing worn pads or grinding. They're describing a light, and often a list of features that quit along with it.
What got replaced
Owners who name the part that was replaced mention the ABS module (11 reports).
Recalls and investigations
No recall on the brakes covers the 2025 model year as of Oct 2, 2026.

Electronic brake module component failure. Open.
When it happens
The middle half of failures fell between 3,000 and 12,800 miles, from the 20 reports that gave a mileage.
What owners wrote
“I turned my vehicle on and my brakes, ABS, traction control and anti collision lights all came on. Upon research this is a known problem in 2025 and a recall in 2024. It did in fact end up being the master cylinder and brake system that faulted”

“Vehicle currently at dealership for ESC, brake system and ABS warning lights coming on. Unable to use cruise control once these lights came on.”

“2025 Traverse ABS brake system failed, and master cylinder broke at 12K. All of the safety features, Lane Departure, Forward Crash detection, blind spot, automatic braking system all stop working with no signs that it was failing! Extremely unsafe! Traverse are meant to be family vehicles, well with major functions failures this kind of problem is going be recipe for disaster if not recalled ASAP.”

“I started the vehicle to move it to a different place in my driveway and after putting it in reverse, it notified me that the ABS was not working. I could not stop the vehicle without pressing the brakes very hard and even then it was still rolling backward slowly. I quickly put the vehicle in park before the car rolled into my house.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 56 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation. How reports land on this sheet.
