“Driving on hwy at 75 mph and needed to brake. While decelerating and still moving, engine shut off, dashboard dinged and message said to press start. Vehicle put itself into neutral. Happened twice while driving on highway. Car currently in shop. GM stating transmission valve body needs to be replaced. Tahoe only has 28K miles. Part is on back order”

“First the front collision warning systems kept coming on and off. Then the engine died on the highway and I had to restart. I drove a little further and it died again and would not restart. I had it towed to the dealer and they are telling me the engine has seized and needs to be replaced. I have 40,000 mile and the car is 2 years old. It was very dangerous to have the car die twice while at speed on the highway.”

“Traveling in left lane of [XXX] . Vehicle screen went black and car lost all power. No warning lights. Vehicle towed and inpected by GM dealership and determined that the vehicle needed a new engine. Vehicle maintenance records confirmed proper maintenance was done. Vehicle only 13 months old. “The vehicle shut off on the expressway causing a very dangerous situation. After several attempts it would not start again. I had to have the vehicle towed to the dealer and they advised me the engine has seized up. Most likely they told me the engine blew and will need replacing.”
