Recent reports

“Both cv joints failed at less than 3,000 miles. They know about this but will no longer replace them as they know the new ones will fail immediately.”

Filed Jul 16, 2026

“CV axles clicking and now a slight vibration in the steering while driving at highway speeds. Also audible buzzing noticable. This started around 8000 miles , it now has 11000 and getting worse.”

Filed Mar 23, 2026

“It makes a clicking sound when the steering is near the end of travel in either direction. I believe this is a problem becoming more and more common with the CV joint or axle. But this vehicle used on 2/24/26 with 17,000 miles on it.”

Filed Mar 2, 2026

“The 2025 Honda Prologue is 7 months old with 5424 miles has a clicking sound when you turn all the way left or all the way right. It is a defective design part that will continue to get worse until the vehicle will become undrivable. Honda Corporation is aware of the problem as the 2024 Prologue has the same issue.”

26V-306May 14, 2026
Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.

Risk and remedy
Risk: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.
