“The actuator that controls the blend door / recirculation door (moves the air from defrost to floor to vent) does not last more than a year in my vehicle. I see on the GMC Terrain forums that it is a common problem. It is a danger when defrost is needed on the windshield, and it doesn't work.”

“During a rainstorm the wiper blades became stuck after regular use. It was then discovered by a technician the transmission/linkage arm (plastic) broke off and possible windshield wiper motor failure. No warning signs were given to anticipate this failure.”

“While driving in the rain, my windshield wipers just stopped working while in an upright position on the windshield. Not only could I not see due to the rain, the wipers were actually blocking my view as well. They now will not turn on at all.”
