“While driving down the highway, then without any warning the front upper lip of truck grille flew off randomly. The broken piece shattered windshield and caused damage to body of vehicle. Reported to dealer, but they said I must have hit something to cause the damage. I did not hit anything. I was simply driving down the highway. This was a failure of the truck.”

“Grille trim piece came detached while driving on freeway damaging hood. Could have flown off and hit another vehicle. Took truck to dealership and it was replaced under warranty. Seems to be a known defect, lots of other people with same issue on Reddit.”

“The top part of the grill flew off while driving down the freeway and almost hit another car. Look at forums this is a very common issue and GMC needs to recall it.”
