They said it's the torque converter and they needed to replace the transmission. It would be a rebuild/repair at a cost of 8,991.00. This car has only 49,500 miles and points to a manufacturing defect NOT standard wear and tear. Ford knew of this issue regarding thus 8-speed transmission.”

“The transmission has completely gone out on my 2020 Ford edge the repair cost is $5500. I should not need a new transmission on a five year-old vehicle. There are several reports on this issue please advise.”

“Torque converter was diagnosed as faulty at 99k miles. This led to a cascade of effects on the transmission resulting in a full transmission replacement. Early signs of failure are starting to be observed at 113k, 13k miles after replacement.”
