Recalls and investigations
One recall on the seat belts covers the 2015 model year. A recall on the same system isn't always the same failure, so read the defect text.
The affected vehicles have a front passenger seat belt whose buckle latch assembly may prevent the front passenger from fastening the seat belt.

NHTSA investigations into the seat belts on the Sonata
Front passenger seat belt anchor failure. Closed oct 23, 2017, led to recall 17V-152.
Pass.restraint system fail. Closed nov 30, 1993, led to recall 93V-196.
None of these investigations covers the 2015 model year.

“Multifunction box is in the steering column that controls your lights, signals, I put my turn signal on right or left at night and my lights go out,but they come back on.also I have zero warning lights on my dashboard for when something happens it let's you know,well I have none. Hyundai of California says it's not unsafe.it should be a recall because it's a thousand dollars for update..”

“I brought this car brand new at ABC HUNDUIA IN Las Vegas NV I now like in NY And my engine making a loud winning noise as I steer and the seat drivers side does not retract back into place .I just spent over 3 grand to fix other issues A/C cost over 3 grand but they never fixed what I requested. “Front Driver Side Seat Belt does not retract to original position when seat belt unlatched. Also seat belt does not lock into restraint position when brakes are applied and remains loose even when brakes applied heavily during emergency/urgent braking. Dealer said it is not a safety issue, it is a wear issue and owner would have to pay for full replacement.”

“My driver side seat belt when taken off does not retract back to normal position. Also my color urban Sunset is starting to fade on the back spoiler and truck Area. Thank you Any help would be appreciated”
