What owners wrote
“My 2019 Ford Ranger with 10 speed transmission has been harsh shifting and will not always find the right gears. It will sometimes Surge forward or at other time not respond to acceleration. It has 100,000 miles. Never used it for towing or hawling heavy items.”

“My transmission has failed at 131,000 miles on my vehicle. It roughly shifts into reverse and harshly shifts while in drive and the vehicle is in motion. My truck shakes while the transmission searches for gears and shifts slowly requiring extra power to move in normal operating conditions.”

“The transmission is shifting hard, delay in shifting, and slipping gears. All of this started when my vehicle reached 50,000 miles. Ford has issued a TSB for the issue, but refuses to cover the cost of repairs. Ford is reporting this issue in all 10R80 transmissions installed in several of their models.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 45 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
