What is your F-150 Hybrid doing?

Each one opens a sheet built from the owner reports of that problem on the 2022 model year.

Is the 2022 Ford F-150 Hybrid reliable?

The 2022 Ford F-150 Hybrid has 211 owner complaints on file with NHTSA, close to the median of 185 for 2022 pickups on this site. Of the 5 F-150 Hybrid model years since 2021, it has the 2nd most complaints. Complaint counts rise with sales as well as faults, so read what owners report below before deciding.

At a glance

Next to the 2021 and 2023
At 42 complaints for each year on the road, the 2022 runs close to the 2021 (43) and above the 2023 (24).
Top problem
Two problems run close. Drivetrain problems has 33 complaints and infotainment has 27, out of 211 in all. A quarter of the 8 owners who gave a mileage for drivetrain problems saw it by about 30,000 miles, and half by about 35,000.
Crash, fire and injury reports
14 of the 211 complaints (7%) report a crash, a fire or an injury, about the 6% typical of vehicles on this site. Counted separately (one report can carry more than one), 4 reports mention a crash, 3 mention a fire and 9 people were hurt.
Recalls behind the top problems
Each of drivetrain problems and infotainment has a recall on the same system: drivetrain problems, 21V-986, 22V-623 and 2 others; infotainment, 22V-193, 23V-509 and 2 others. A recall on the same system doesn't always cover the failure owners describe, so compare its summary with the complaints.
When owners filed
Filings jumped in 2023, with 84 complaints, 2.0 times the next busiest year. So far in 2026, 16 more have come in.

        Power Train:Driveline:Driveshaft

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles. Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.
