What owners wrote
“The door hinge on the driver's side failed. The 3 weld joints broke off. At times the door will not shut and latch properly, and the driver's window cannot be lowered. The dealer I took the vehicle to informed me that this is a recurring problem with the 2020 Ford Escape. They have had many people with the same problem. Ford refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem.”

Should you keep driving it?
This page can't tell you that. 0 of 63 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.
