“I have just replaced the rear brakes on my 60k mile Taos for the second time. I am far from the only person I have seen multiple online reports of brakes being worn down by the 20k mile mark. Not only is this issue unsafe, it is expensive for the car owner. VW extended the warranty to 24k miles. But only on the first set of brakes”

“Head Gasket Leaking Coolant, yes it's available for inspection Engine could cease to operate properly Head gasket leaking was confirmed by Volkswagen Dealer No, I had a low coolant light, manual says add fluid This is a very HIGH COST REPAIR Brake Pads were worn out at 16,000 miles, replace ourselves because out of warranty at the time”

“There is a break issue where they are using cheap quality parts. My car has 26,000 miles in 3 years and the breaks and rotors are all gone. When we try to break the whole car starts shaking. Dealership know about the issue but wonât replace the break pads because of car having 2000 more miles than warranty.”

“Vehicle not stopping properly. Vehicle is rolling further due to Rear Brake Pads deteriorating prematurely. Rear Brake Pads deteriorating under 20,000 miles after replacement of the original brakes that deteriorated under 20,000 miles. Volkswagen issued an extended warranty for the initial brake defect. Volkswagen has not fixed the braking issue.”
