Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2025 Sienna Hybrid vehicles. The second-row seat rails may be welded improperly.
Risk and remedy
Remedy: Dealers will replace the second-row seat rails, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 15, 2026. This is a phased recall. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB12 and 25TA12.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Sienna Hybrid vehicles. The bolts for the seatbacks on the third-row seat assemblies may not be tightened properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 202, "Head Restraints," 207, "Seating Systems," and 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."
Risk and remedy
Remedy: Dealers will tighten the seat assembly bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 1, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 25TA05.

“They stated the second row is not safe in a high speed collision because they could eject. Iâve been using a rental for 3 months with no end insight. They stated they would have a timeline by 12/6 but that has yet to happen. My car is sitting at the dealership out in the elements for the unforeseeable future.”

“Relatively new Toyota Sienna, bought 6 weeks ago and currently at 1300 miles. Passenger side 2nd row seat belt inexplicably became stuck and would not retract, making that seat unusable as the seat belt was no longer able to safely restrain a passenger. No accidents or unusual incidents were noted. This was completely unexpected and random following a routine short-distance errand.”

“The seats have had an excessive rattling noise since buying the car, dealer was informed and was told that it was expected. Now there has been a safety recall with no remedy in sight for over two months. Not being able to use the middle seats on a brand new car for this long is unnacceptable.”
