“The sunglasses hatch is impaired which causes items to fall from the overhead, impairing the driver. This is a commonly reported issue amongst Internet forums and at the particular dealer I took it for repair. It is not easily repairable and if someone does not know about this issue, like me, it could cause it to fall on them and wreck when driving.”

“2 days after picking up my RAV4, I noticed a dimple in my rear hatch right (on the outside) above where it latches. Iâve had my car for a 3 months now. As time has gone on, the dimple has turned into a larger indention and has developed a significant crease. Itâs getting worse.”

“The windshield on the vehicle has a weird distortion. The distortion is visible around the outline of an object with ///////////////// types of line around it. This gives a false moving sensation when viewing and causes eye strain. This distortion is visible on the whole windshield not just a part of it.”

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid, 2025 Tundra Hybrid, Tundra, 2026 RAV4 Hybrid, 4Runner i-Force Max Hybrid, and 4Runner vehicles. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Risk and remedy
Remedy: Dealers will replace the load carrying capacity modification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 18, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 26TA18.
