What owners wrote

“This recall for ABS control module went out just after my warranty expired. My truck is a 2017 with just over 60,000 miles and I am scared to haul trailer as the brakes lock up with sudden stops. Also cruise control and traction control won't work and truck constantly dings all the time to remind me I bought a broken truck that RAM don't fell like they have to fix such a hazardous safety issue”

“ABS module and HCU. Very hard to stop and kicks off cruise control all of a sudden. It was replaced 1 year ago less than 7000 miles and it went out again”

“Vehicle set code C0020-01 ABS Control Module/ Hydraulic Control Unit failure. ABS system, Traction Control and cruise control does not work. Parts unavailable to fix issue leaving me with the choice or parking the vehicle or driving and u safe vehicle. This should have been a recall and Ram is doing nothing about it.”

“My trucks ABS keeps cutting off, it’s operation is intermittent. This also disables the cruise control and traction control. I have researched this on this year and it’s a problem with many of doges trucks. The dealer has no fix for this safety issue. This is an on going issue that happens every time i drive the vehicle.”

Should you keep driving it?

This page can't tell you that. 0 of 67 reports involved a crash. Owners who file are the ones who had a bad experience, and nobody checks their reports. If the problem affects steering, braking, power or a fire risk, treat it as a safety fault and have it inspected before a long or high-speed drive.

File your own report with NHTSA. Complaint counts are how a problem gets an investigation.
