The powertrain control module may be equipped with a voltage regulator chip in the circuit board that may fail, causing a stall or a no start condition.
The brightness of the backlighting for the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) cannot be adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
The engines may have a cracked oil pump housing that can result in oil pump failure.

After a few minutes of panic, I was able to move the gear shifter to park and after several attempts, the car barely restarted. This also happened a previous time at a stop light.”

“Sometimes when the electronic stop start function turn the engine off at a stop light, the vehicle stalls and is difficult to restart. Additionally, the parking brake sometimes goes on during these episodes. This has happened five or six times.”

“My Jeep has been stalling on me my oil lamp came on twice the day before i didnât think anything of it because i needed a oil change anyway got the oil change car stalled at a red light my auto stop start came on after i shunt the car down and turned it back on now itâs stuck on”
