“The engine died on me after having the car for less than 2 years. Driving on the highway car just stalled. Had car towed to the mechanic and they said the engine failed. There are plenty of consumer complaints about this model having engine failure while the vehicle is still new and properly maintained.”

“Engine lost power in normal course of driving. Loud engine noise. Burning oil smell. Mechanic assessed an internal engine component like a broken rod is the cause. Whole engine needs to br replaced at 103k miles.”

“Engine destroyed itself upon acceleration on highway. Variable Compression system malfunctioned, metal shavings found in oil, and engine no longer starts. Check engine light flashed after acceleration, and then engine lost all power. Car coasted to a stop as the engine couldn't make power.”
